Match 23 of the ICC World Cup 2023 will be played between South Africa and Bangladesh in Mumbai's iconic Wankhede Stadium. Both the teams are ready to play their fifth match of the marquee event.
South Africa Aiden Markram won the toss and elected to bat first against Bangladesh.

South Africa will be facing Bangladesh after securing a win against England in their previous game. They played the match against England in Wankhede itself. Proteas will definitely know the pitch conditions for today's clash against Bangladesh.

Bangladesh has lost their previous game against Team India. They played the game under Najmul Hossain Shanto's captaincy as Shakib Al Hasan was ruled out of the match due to health reasons.
Bangladesh will eagerly look to register a win against South Africa, today as they have just secured two points in the ICC World Cup 2023 so far.
Both the teams have played four matches, Proteas have registered three wins and lost one match against the Netherlands, whereas the Bengal Tigers have won just one match against Afghanistan and have lost the remaining three games.
South Africa's Heinrich Klaasen and Marco Jansen will be eyed by many people today as they displayed incredible batting skills in Wankhede Stadium in a match against the defending champions England.
The story of Pakistan vs Afghanistan:
Afghanistan registered their first historic win against Pakistan, yesterday. Afghanistan's Naveen Ul Haq and Noor Ahmad had two and three wickets under their belt, respectively.
Not only with the ball but the Afghans entertained the crowd even with the bat. Opening batsmen Rahmanullah Gurbaz and Ibrahim Zadran played a knock of 65 runs and 87 runs, respectively. After the dismissal of the openers, Rahmat Shah smashed an unbeaten 77 runs and accompanying him was Afgfhanistan's skipper Hashmatullah Shahidi scoring an unbeaten 48 runs.
The Afghans outplayed Pakistan and registered their first-ever win against them in ODI history.
