Former cricketers lead Twitter reactions after India bowled out for 78 at Leeds

India captain Virat Kohli won the toss and opted to bat in the third Test between India and England at Leeds on Wednesday. This did not go down too well for the visitors as England pacer James Anderson ripped through the Indian batting order with a sensational spell of 3/6 while Craig Overton also took 3/14. Ollie Robinson and Sam Curran bagged 2 wickets each as the visitors slumped to 78 all out on Day 1.

KL Rahul, Jasprit Bumrah and Mohammed Shami were dismissed for a duck and the highest individual score for India came by opener Rohit Sharma who scored 19 runs.

Former India and England cricketers took to micro-blogging site Twitter to share their reactions on the scoreline at Leeds with some of them coming up with some interesting memes.

Wasim Jaffer, Kevin Pietersen and Michael Vaughan led the reactions on Twitter. Take a look at their posts on social media below.

Wasim Jaffer shared a series of posts talking about the Leeds Test. The first showed Zayed Khan from the 2004 film Main Hoon Na that read 'Dekho mat, saha nahi jaayega (don't look, you won't be able to bear it)

Here's another one.

In his final post on the Leeds Test, Jaffer wrote, "One of the most disappointing days of cricket both with bat and ball. Everything went wrong including the toss if you know what I mean. #ENGvsIND."

Kevin Pietersen wrote, 'This batting at Leeds" with a sick emoji.

Michael Vaughan simply wrote, " Good evening India."

Many other cricket fans shared some hilarious memes on the social media site. One user wrote, "On the TV and first sight was India All out at 78
I was like" And had an image of Paul Rudd's Ant-Man from Avengers Endgame that said - 'What the hell happened here'

Another user wrote, "78 all out #engvsindia" and had an image of Arshad Warsi and Sanjay Dutt from Lage Raho Munnabhai with a text that read - Bhai, yeh to shuru hote hi khatam ho gaya (bro, this ended as soon as it began)

At stumps on Day 1 of the third Test at Leeds, England looked in command at 120 for the loss of no wicket.

In the five-match Test series between India and England, the first Test ended up in a draw while India won the second Test by 151 runs.
