Yesterday, several reports suggested that the world's best footballer's new hairdo was not a fashion statement, but a tribute to a young boy Erik Ortiz Cruz, who was diagnosed with cortical dysplasia, a brain condition which can cause 30 seizures a day.

It was reported last March that Ronaldo paid approximately 60,000 euros for his surgery in Spain.
