Left-arm spinner Shams Mulani, who returned outstanding figures of 11-176 for Mumbai in their Ranji Trophy encounter against Hyderabad on Thursday, rated his performance even more special because his dad was there to witness it.
"My dad [Zakir] was here today [Thursday]. It is for the first time in two years that he has come to watch my bowling. It feels good to take wickets in front of him. I didn't have a five-wicket haul in Mumbai, so it feels even more special to take it in front of my father and the people of Mumbai. I am happy that I could deliver what I've always been known for," Mulani remarked.
Mumbai, who currently top Elite Group 'B' with 13 points, will play their third game against Saurashtra at MCA's BKC ground from December 27. India's white-ball specialist Suryakumar Yadav is likely to be available for this game as well.
Mumbai will also be boosted by the inclusion of fit-again all-rounder Shivam Dube.
