Yashasvi Jaiswal's coach Jwala Singh didn't watch his ward's century on Test debut live, but that didn't stop him from watching the highlights and also speak with Yashasvi in the wee hours of Friday morning from Mumbai.
Jwala was on a London-Mumbai flight when Jaiswal became the latest edition to the list of Indians who scored a hundred on Test debut. The message from Jwala to Jaiswal was, "try to do everything in a simple way - the way you know the best. Staying at the crease is the main thing in Test cricket."
Jwala now wants a three-figure score in the next Test at Trinidad.

"He is in good nick, he should cash in on this. I told him to be patient and serious to achieve more considering the effort he has already put in. He displayed a lot of concentration, taking 350 balls to score 143 runs [on Day Two], which is a good sign. He showed tremendous attitude and should carry on the same way," remarked Jwala.
