Yuvraj Singh would have liked to make his 300th ODI appearance special with a stand out personal performance. But once South Africa managed only 191 and Shikhar Dhawan and Virat Kohli put on a century partnership, there was not much left for the southpaw to do.
In fact, he was lucky to have a bit of time in the middle. Yuvi tried a few lusty hits, some coming off and some not. However, he had the satisfaction of finishing off the match with a superb six off JP Duminy to remain unbeaten on 25.
Undoubtedly Yuvraj would very much fancy India going all the way to lift the trophy at the Oval on Sunday and also prove that he still has some quality cricket left in him.
