An 18-member scrutiny team from ICC and BCCI visited Eden Gardens here recently to inspect the facilities of the stadium and have instructed the Cricket Association of Bengal (CAB) president Snehasish Ganguly to complete the renovation work by September 15.

The Cricket Association of Bengal (CAB) has requested the 18-member scrutiny team from ICC and BCCI to change the date for the match between England and Pakistan at the iconic Eden Gardens during the ODI World Cup, scheduled on November 12, as the match clashes with the religious festival of Kali Puja.

The scrutiny team did not give their verdict on this issue. The team were taken to the gallery, dressing rooms, pitch and press box for inspection before they came up with a deadline for renovation work.

CAB is hopeful that they can complete the job by August 31.
