India opener Virender Sehwagu00a0missed out on a heavyweight of an achievement yesterday when he could have become the first man in Test cricket to score three triple hundreds. Had he got a triple, he would have been higher than Sir Don Bradman, who scored two triple centuries in his 52-Test career.

Bradman was all for entertaining play. When Test cricket in Australia was marred by drawn games before the 1960-61 series against the WI, as a top Board official, he urged Richie Benaud's Australians to entertain the public.

He told them that they would be looked upon "in kindly fashion" by selectors if they made an attempt to entertain. As it happened, that series brought about the revival of Australian Test cricket.
