On February 24th 2010, batting legend Sachin Tendulkar created added record to the list of many that he already has in the world of cricket.
The Mumbai batsman became the first ever cricketer in ODI history to score a double century when he did so against South Africa at Gwalior. En route to his historic innings Tendulkar smashed 3 sixes and 25 fours at a strike rate of 136.05.
Let's relive the epic batting by the master blaster of cricket once again in the video below.
India went on to score a record 401 runs and also beat Proteas by a margin of 153 runs. Half-centuries from Dinesh Karthik and MS Dhoni provided the much-required support for Tendulkar.
Post this, many more cricketers went on to go past Sachin Tendulkar's highest score. Coincidentally, West Indies batsman Chris Gayle hit 215 a year ago on this very day.
Rohit Sharma - 264, 209, 208'
Martin Guptill - 237'
Virender Sehwag - 219
Chris Gayle - 215
