Riding on Umesh Gujjar's hard-hitting 97, MCC (Blue) scored a thumping 175-runs victory over Twisters Sports Club in the knockout quarter-finals of the Twister-MCC-Pro40 League-season-3 played at Cross Maidan here yesterday.
The winners will next take on MCC (Green) in the semi-finals to be played on Thursday. Batting first, MCC (Blue) scored to 267 for eight in the stipulated 40 overs.
Chasing the massive score, Twisters batsmen put up spirited fight and showed aggression, but were dismissed for a partly 92.
