Shivam Mavi
India's opening bowler Shivam Mavi has been right on target with his consistency, claiming eight wickets in five matches.
The right-arm pacer played a vital role in troubling Pakistan's top-order batsmen, bowling three maidens from four overs, which led to the arch-rivals collapse in the semi-final.
Anukul Roy
Anukul Roy, with 12 wickets in five matches, justified his tag of India's joint-highest wicket-taker with Rahul Chahar (10) in U-19 ODI during the tour of England last year. Roy, returning from an ankle injury, failed to impress in the first match v Australia, conceding 36 runs in five overs and claiming one wicket.
The left-arm spinner made a strong comeback with figures of 5-14 and 4-20 v PNG and Zimbabwe respectively. Batting at No. 7, Roy made a handy 45-ball 33 in the semis against Pakistan.
Prithvi Shaw
In-form India skipper Prithvi Shaw began the World Cup campaign against Australia with a bang, scoring a match-winning 94 off 100 balls. In the process, he shared a 180-run stand for the first wicket with Manjot Kalra to take India to 328-7.
He continued his form in the next match against Papua New Guinea (PNG) by scoring a quickfire 39-ball 57 not out as India chased the 65-run target in just eight overs. He could not convert his starts into a century but his innings of 40 and 41 in the quarter-finals and semi-finals against Bangladesh and Pakistan respectively proved vital in India's wins.
Kamlesh Nagarkoti
With seven wickets in five matches, the highly rated Kamlesh Nagarkoti has been successful in keeping the batsmen quiet, thus putting pressure on the opposition.
He claimed 3-29 in seven overs against Australia to play a key role in India's 100-run win. The right-arm pacer has bowled 33.1 overs including six maidens. Watch him today!
Shubman Gill
A lot was expected from Shubman Gill after his big scores in the Ranji Trophy and on India's U-19 tour to England last year. The boy from Punjab has not disappointed his team in New Zealand where he has scored one ton and three half centuries in four innings.
The right-handed batsman, who was bought by Kolkata Knight Riders for Rs 1.8 crore in last week's IPL Player Auction, showed his worth by scoring a fighting 94-ball 102 not out in the semi-final against Pakistan to take India to a respectable 272-9.
