Twitterati vent their frustation at middle-order batsman Karun Nair wasting another opportunity by comparing him with batsman Rohit Sharma and Bollywood actor Kumar Gaurav
Triple centurion Karun Nair has had an ordinary series with the bat vs the Australians and it continued in Dharamsala where he was again dismissed for a paltry 5.
Nair's inclusion in the team despite his mediocre form has upset Twitterati who want him to be benched.
Nair has had a pretty ordinary run since scoring 303 from 565 balls with an impressive strike rate of 79.52 against England in the fifth Test in Chennai.
The 25-year-old Karnataka cricketer's scores since that 303 have been 26, 0, 23 and 5.
On Snday, with India perilously placed, Nair needed to build a partnership, but instead he departed to leave the team at 167/4. Nair tried to defend a Nathan Lyon delivery on the back foot. But the ball bounced and hit his glove and deflected off the thigh pad to short leg. Wicket-keeper Mathew Wade ran and took the catch to end Nair's innings.
Twitterati aren't known for their patience nor for their acumen, but for their spontaneous emotional response to a situation.
With the India missing it's batting mainstay Virat Kohli, cricket lovers were hoping for more solidity from the middle-order at series decider, but when they saw a batting collapse, they vented their frustration.
