Nottingham: If one were to take a cue from developments in the Indian nets over the past three days, all-rounder Stuart Binny could well be making his debut in the first Test which begins at Trent Bridge today.

Binny, 30, who made his ODI debut earlier this year looked confident in the nets yesterday and enjoyed an extended run, leading to speculation that he could be included in the playing XI.

It remains to be seen which of the two - middle-order batsman Rohit Sharma or bowling all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja - makes way for Binny who enjoyed a memorable domestic season in which Karnataka won three titles.

Stuart, who is national selector Roger Binny's son, played both the warm-up games in the lead up to the Test.
