On this day in 2002, Sourav Ganguly-led Team India went on to win an epic Natwest Series after they created history by defeating England in the final.
Sourav Ganguly went on to take off his shirt in dramatic form following their win as a fitting reply to Andrew Flintoff's previous gesture.
Today, 14 years on cricketers and others from the fraternity took to twitter to relive the historic event and shared their views as well..
The most interesting of them all, if it can be said, was from Virender Sehwag who wrote in his trademark humourous style.
BCCI and the ICC too went on to recall the series win with their respective posts.
Chasing 326 in the final, India were a terrible spot at 146-5 with stalwarts like Sourav Ganguly, Sachin Tendulkar, Rahul Dravid and Virender Sehwag back in the pavilion.
A young Yuvraj Singh and Mohammad Kaif, then took matters as well as responsibility in their own hands to take India to victory with over a 100 run partnership. Mohammad Kaif went on to score an unbeaten 87 and went on to win the man-of-the-match.
India also drew a 4-match Test series against England 1-1.
Rahul Dravid and Matthew Vaughan went on to win the Player of the series award.
