If last year's Kanpur Test against South Africa will always be remembered for a wicked wicket, the one against Sri Lanka, which concluded yesterday will go down in annals as S Sreesanth's match.

Not only was it fascinating to see Sreesanth's splendid first innings spell, which drew applause from even his critics, but it was also a surprise to see the Kerala bowler behave properly.

S Sreesanth

Sreesanth's good side came to the fore after the game as the Man of the Match came out of the dressing room after the team celebrations and called all the ball boys for a pep talk.

As he signed autographs for most of them, he also discussed the game, citing an example of his early days in Kerala when he used to play with limited cricket gear.

"Make the best of whatever you have," he told a youngster when he asked him for a "toota hua (broken) bat".

Lankans turn to soccer

Like many international cricket teams, even India and Sri Lanka have developed a liking for football.

As the Indian players were busy getting their travel plans organised to spend a day at home, the Sri Lankans turned to football once again to get rid of their disappointment.

In fact, they couldn't even wait for the presentation ceremony to get over.

While India skipper Dhoni was being interviewed by commentator Ravi Shastri, the Lankans had already got going with the ballu00a0 outside their dressing room.
