Virender Sehwag blazed away to his sixth Test double hundred as he smashed the Sri lankan bowlers to all part of the ground as India took command of the Test on the second day of the third and the final Test at the Brabourne Stadium in Mumbai.

Sri lanka were bowled out for 393 in the morning after resuming at 366/8.

Opener Virender Sehwag registered the fastest 250 in Test cricket off just 207 deliveries. This is his second double century against Sri Lanka after the 201 not out he made in Galle last year. He has now scored four double centuries to go along with his two triple centuries.

Sehwag is also the leading double hundred scorer for India and now have six double hundreds. Rahul Dravid follows next with 5 while Sachin Tendulkar and Sunil Gavaskar have 4 each.
