Despite being favourites, Team India have to be vary of the touring England team, according to injured middle order batsman Rohit Sharma.

"England are a very good Test team. We've got a lot of hard work to do. They beat us here last time (1-2 in 2012-13). We understand their strengths and weaknesses and we have to exploit them," said Rohit during the inauguration of the Adidas Home Court store in Bandra yesterday. The first Test of the five-match series begins at Rajkot on November 9. "It is important to play the way we are been playing recently. We are the No 1 Test team and there is a reason for that. Given our experience and conditions, I think the dominance of the Indian team should continue till the end of the season. But we are talking about Test cricket here and it's not going to be easy. We have to put out right foot forward," said Rohit.

Rohit, who has been ruled out of the Test series against England fears being out of action for at least three months if doctors decide to operate his right thigh. "The BCCI (Board of Control for Cricket in India) medical team is in touch with doctors. We are awaiting their reply," the Mumbai batsman.

"The picture is not clear. If I undergo surgery, I may be out for three to three and a half months," said Rohit, who scored 282 runs at 79.33 including three half centuries in last month's three-match Test series against New Zealand.
Rohit sustained an injury while going for a run during the fifth one-day international against New Zealand at Visakhapatnam last week.

BCCI later tweeted that the batsman will fly to London to meet a medical consultant and is expected to be out for 10-12 weeks.
