Team India head coach Ravi Shastri denied any rift of sorts with Cricket Advisory Committee (CAC) member Sourav Ganguly, who apparently rejectd him for Anil Kumble for the same post a year ago.
Ravi Shastri was appointed as the new head coach for the Indian cricket team earlier this week. After his selection as the new boss for Team India, Ravi Shastri also stated that he does not live in the past and has let bygones be bygones.
This was apparently Ravi Shastri's reply to a question regarding a tiff with CAC member and former India captain Sourav Ganguly.

As reported by India Today, Shastri said, 'We are two former captains, there will be arguments. Everyone is not on the same page all the time. But there is mutual respect. There were good questions asked and I answered. You're looking at the bigger picture and the betterment of Indian cricket and that's paramount. You need to do the best for Indian cricket.'
