Pakistan has detained around two dozen people for questioning in connection with the deadly ambush on the Sri Lankan cricket team, police and security officials said Wednesday.
"Around two dozen people have been picked up -- most of them belonging to banned or outlawed organisations -- in the hope of finding a clue to the identity of the escaped terrorists," one police official told AFP.
The official was speaking on condition of anonymity because he was not authorised to release the information to the media.
A second security official confirmed that around two dozen people had been detained in multiple raids in the eastern city of Lahore, where around a dozen attackers ambushed the Sri Lankan team's bus on Tuesday.
