Mumbai Indians and Delhi Daredevils have reached a transfer agreement to swap fast bowler Ashish Nehra and left-hand batsman Shikhar Dhawan for the second edition of the Indian Premier League


Mumbai Indians and Delhi Daredevils have reached a transfer agreement to swap fast bowler Ashish Nehra and left-hand batsman Shikhar Dhawan for the second edition of the Indian Premier League. It is a direct deal between the two teams and there was no money involved, SUNDAY MiD DAY learnt.

Mumbai Indians coach Lalchand Rajput said: "I don't have a confirmation about it but we were looking for an Indian batsman. Last year, Robin Uthappa did not perform up to expectations and we missed a back-up." Rajput said they had enough depth in the bowling department who can fill in for Nehra. "We have the bowlers Dhawal Kulkarni, Rohan Raje, Dwayne Bravo and Dilhara Fernando."
