This is not the first time former India cricketer Mohammad Kaif was trolled on social media. He was at the receiving end as people termed him un-Islamic for celebrating Christmas with his family. Earlier, he faced criticism for doing Surya Namaskar and supporting the Triple Talaq verdict. He posted this picture (right) on social media and wrote, "Merry Christmas! May there be peace and love."
An online user replied to him saying, "Moula ki khasam Tu Badi Zillat Se Marega Fail Cricketer Off All Formats [For God's sake, you will have a humiliating death, you failed cricketer of all formats]." Another one said, "Apni Duniyan keliye Islam ku sharminda na karo. tum jo wish kiye ho uska matlab pehle samjho. Mohammed naam rakhne se Musalman nahi banjata hai koi⦠[For your own world's sake don't embarrass Islam. First understand what you have wished. Just by having your name as Mohammad, you will not become a Muslim."
