Indian women's cricket captain Mithali Raj recently took to social networking site Twitter to post a throwback photo along with her friends and was at the receiving end of trolls.

Mithali Raj posted a throwback picture along with her friends Amreen Khurana and Afshan Kaura and captioned it, '#tb #PostShootSelfie #funtimes #girlstakeover'.

In the photo, Mithali Raj and her girl group are seen smiling away in a selfie. Mithali Raj wears a black spaghetti and is seen showing off a bit off her cleavage.

Twitter trolls took no time to take potshots at Mithali Raj for daring to show some cleavage on social media. At the same time, Mithali Raj's fans decided to take a step ahead and support her freedom to dress as she pleases.

Mithali Raj is considered a youth icon in the country and has made India proud after leading India to the ICC Women's World Cup finals. The 34-year-old women's cricketer set a record to become the first to score 7 consecutive fifties in ODIs. Mithali Raj is also the first women's captain to lead India to the Women's World Cup final twice - 2005 and 2017.
