If India beat Sri Lanka on Sunday, they become the No 1 ranked Test side. And coach Gary Kirsten said his team is ready to don the mantle. It will be the culmination of a goal set nearly two years ago, revealed the coach.
"It will be great. It is something that we aspired to before we started against Australia (2007-08). We wanted to become the best Test team in the world. So, it will be a great achievement. Hopefully, we can wrap it up tomorrow," Kirsten, who had joined the team for the last two Tests of the 08-09 Australia series, said on Saturday.
