Colombo: Sri Lanka captain Angelo Mathews was yesterday ruled out of this month's three-match T20 series in Australia with a hamstring injury. "Captain Angelo Mathews will not be part of the squad as he has been ruled out due to a hamstring injury," said a statement from Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC), who will announce the squad today.
Mathews returned home last month half way through the South African tour after twisting his ankle. Sri Lanka will face Australia on February 17 in Melbourne, in Geelong on February 19 and in Adelaide on February 22.
