Indian captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni won the toss and opted to bowl first in the opening one-dayer of the five-match series against Sri Lanka today.
India would be without regular opener Virender Sehwag, who has been ruled out due to an injury picked up while training. Rohit Sharma has been inducted into the playing XI to replace Sehwag.
Sri Lanka have not made any change to the side that beat Pakistan in a three-match ODI series last week.
