England seemed to have got over their 0-4 Test debacle despite nine of them playing in the ODIs. And why not? They have a new skipper in Eoin Morgan and their record with the white ball and coloured clothing is not so disastrous as against in whites. And the way all-rounder Ben Stokes, the skipper Morgan himself, opener Alex Hales, wicketkeeper-batsman Jos Buttler and the others were belting the ball at the Brabourne Stadium was amply evident that they are in good spirit.

"They are very motivated. In India, regardless which format has been played first, the side generally improves and since this side has been together there has been no backlash or no repercussions from any performance. I don't expect it to have any effect," Morgan said. He felt that the warm-up games will help them adapt to the conditions well going ahead into the series.

"The two warm up games that we play have strong sides, so it will be great preparation, ideal to be honest. India is a tough place to come and adapt, and perform at the skill level that is required to win a series, so this will be great preparation leading up to the series," said Morgan.
