With Chris Gayle being away on a paternity leave, RCB decided give chance to Travis Head in place of the West Indian, while fast bowler Kane Richardson came in place of David Wiese. Parveez Rasool made way for Stuart Binny, while Iqbal Abdullah comes in place of Yuzvendra Chahal.

India's fastest bowler Varun Aaron replaced military medium left-arm seamer Srinath Aravind. The sixth change was Lokesh Rahul replacing Kedar Jadhav.
