Hyderabad: Placed reasonably well at the halfway mark of the ongoing IPL, Sunrisers Hyderbad's key pacer Bhuvneshwar Kumar said the key to the team's success this season has been the players' clear understanding of their role in the side.
"The good thing is everyone is clear with their plan and what their role is," he said after Hyderabad's five-wicket win over Gujarat Lions here last night.

Kumar and Ashish Nehra gave a dream start to Hyderabad while bowling by not conceding any run in the first two overs and went on to restrict the visitors to 126.
However, the SRH struggled to reach the small target after losing captain David Warner, who has been the main run-getter for the team, early in the chase. Shikhar Dhawan played a key role in getting Hyderabad over the line with a 40-ball 47.
"Frankly speaking, we could have won that two or three overs before. Warner is the one who was really scoring runs for us. When he got out, it was mostly depending on Shikhar to bat through to take us to the win. But, as a batting unit, we always talk about one of three top batsmen should bat through.
That's what Shikhar did," Kumar said. As for bowling, Kumar said it mostly depended on the wicket and conditions.
"It's not a set pattern. It depends on wicket, batsman and whatever the condition is. Today, I bowled three overs but generally I bowl two overs. I bowled because I took wickets and there was a bit in the wicket for the bowlers. So, it depends on the conditions. If there is swing, It depends on the wicket and conditions," Kumar said.
