Kolkata: Kolkata Knight Riders have not yet played a game at their home venue Eden Gardens. They were scheduled to take on Mumbai Indians here on May 14, but that game will be moved to another stadium due to the lack of security cover.
The Kolkata police force is occupied with the ongoing general elections at the moment. In all probability the match will be held in Cuttack. Cricket Association of Bengal secretary Subir Ganguly and treasurer Biswarup Dey along with KKR representative Abhijeet Singh attended a meeting at the police headquarters in Lal Bazar and arrived at the decision of moving the game out of Eden.
