"DO NOT SAY WE HAVENT PRIORITISED ODI CRICKET! We played a back-to-back Ashes to make sure England played 6 months of ODI's before this WC!" - Exiled England batsman Kevin Pietersen.

"I CANNOT BELIVE THIS! I JUST CANNOT! But, well done Bangladesh! You deserved it! #ENGvBAN." - Pietersen

"Dear @ECB_cricket, this might not be a great time, but as there's room in your schedule, fancy a game in Japan on the way home? #challenge." - Japan Cricket Association

When can we play @ECB_cricket? - Malaysian Cricket Association

"WTF....... I am lost for bloody words....." - Former England captain Michael Vaughan.

England's early exit from the World Cup will add the argument by cricket fans that 34-year-old Kevin Pietersen was 'unfairly' dumped from the England team last year after a career during which he played 104 Tests and scored 23 centuries and was intrumental in them lifting the 2010 ICC World Twenty20 Trophy.

Television host Piers Morgan, one of KP's most vocal supporters, lashed out at coach Peter Moores and ECB managing director Paul Downton. He demanded they resign and the board bring back Kevin Pietersen.

"What an absolute disgrace. Downton & Moores have dragged English cricket into the sporting sewer with their petty, clueless incompetence... I want Downton & Moores sacked today & Kevin Pietersen restored to the team. This farce just reached its true, hideous nadir. #BringBackKP"
