Dilshan due for CCI membership?
CCI members were extolling the virtues of fair play when Tillakaratne Dilshan was adjudged leg before wicket as he tried to leave a ball, bowled by Bhajji, outside his off-stump on Saturday. The opener, who was given a dubious decision in the first innings as well, found supporters among members who started to discuss the merits of fair play as the opener started his slow walk towards the pavilion. "This is not fair to Dilshan, who got wrong decisions in both the innings," said one member. "I think CCI should give him Honorary Membership as they have done in the past to a lot of cricketers, to make up for the wrong doing," he added.

Stop Yuvi, it's a Red Light!
Yuvraj Singh was in his usual element, on the field, throwing himself on the ball trying for run outs with little success while the Lankan batsmen scrambled for runs. The swish set sitting on the first floor of the clubhouse cheered him on saying "Yuvi u2013 Red Light" each time the tall left-hander lunged on the ball. When queried what a 'red light' had to do with the elegant player, a member quipped: "Yuvi dives just the way he jives at Red Light (a pub in south Mumbai)."

In Rajbhai's memory
The Sri Lankan innings folded before the last crust of breakfast toast was gobbled by denizens of the Club House, prompting members to wear huge smiles. The Test match was a historic one and the fact that India had reached the numero uno position in the world of Test cricket made the occasion even sweeter. CCI immediately announced the formation of a trust the Raj Singh Dungarpur Cricket Foundation which will have a corpus of Rs 51 lakh and will strive towards fulfilling the dreams of young, aspiring needy cricketers. Rajbhai would have been beaming!
