The threat of rain looms large over the Duleep Trophy tournament. A sharp shower for an hour yesterday afternoon put paid to any hopes of nets for India Green and India Blue.
For the second successive year, the BCCI has scheduled the Duleep Trophy when the monsoon is still active in north India.
Last year too, the rains played havoc with the matches in Greater Noida.
However, in the previous match at the Green Park here, an hour of rain in the morning washed out the third day's play which caused India Blue captain Suresh Raina to lash out at the Uttar Pradesh body for taking the tournament lightly.
