Indian women's cricket team skipper Mithali Raj was deeply touched by gymnast Dipa Karmakar's compliment after the ladies lost to England in the final of the Women's World Cup at Lord's on Sunday. Karmakar, who made the nation proud with her fourth-place finish at the Rio Olympics last year, took to Twitter to compliment Mithali & Co.

"When you lose the battle but win the war! @M_Raj03 and Team you have changed the face of women's cricket in India. @BCCIWomen #WWC17," Karmakar, 23, wrote. "Thank you @DipaKarmakar. Your words are most encouraging and inspiring," Raj replied.
