Mahendra Singh Dhoni's wife Sakshi initiated work on behalf of the Indian captain's charitable foundation by distributing 1,000 blankets in a tiny village called Benchoda in the Uttarkashi district, Uttarakhand yesterday.
A massive flood struck Benchoda recently and that led to a lot of people being deprived of shelter. Yesterday, India's first cricket lady distributed 330 blankets to the needy.
It is learnt that the rest of the 770 blankets will be distributed today. Dhoni's charitable organisation will be named 'Winning Ways'.u00a0 The Indian skipper and some of his close friends founded the organisation. They are going to register the body and initiate a lot more work of similar nature in the future.
It is also learnt that the organisation will conduct a cricket tournament in small towns across the country for schoolboys.u00a0
