London: Derbyshire wicketkeeper Tom Poynton was involved a serious car crash in which his father Keith lost his life.

Poynton (24) was admitted to hospital after the Friday evening accident for a suspected fractured collarbone and other injuries.
Derbyshire chief executive, Simon Storey was quoted as saying on ESPN Cricinfo: "Tom's dad was well-known to our players and coaching staff.
We are still trying to come to terms with the devastating news."
