Aus cricket vice-captain David Warner's wife Candice lashes out at England all-rounder for involving himself in a 'disgusting' brawl recently
Australia cricket vice-captain David Warner's wife Candice lashed out at England all-rounder Ben Stokes, who remains under investigation after being arrested on suspicion of causing actual bodily harm following an incident outside a Bristol nightclub last month.

The England squad arrived in Perth yesterday sans Stokes, who has been hailed by English news dailies recently as a "hero" for defending two men from homophobic abuse. However, Candice believes he should not be allowed to play the Ashes. "I know the Australian players would love to have him out here because they want to play against the best, but I don't think he can come, I really don't. That footage is disgusting, it is really bad," she said on Channel Nine's Sports Sunday show. "Even if he's not charged, David wasn't charged when he hit Joe Root, he was banned for two games, so why wouldn't Stokes get reprimanded? This is a lot worse, this is way worse," she added.

Stokes' likely absence from the upcoming Ashes is a huge blow to England's chances of retaining the urn on Australian soil.
