Both the teams have won their first match. Colombia won convincingly over Greece while Cote d'Ivoire / Ivory Coast had to put in some effort after Japan had the lead in the 16th minute. However, the current squad has the potential to go a long way in the tournament. The team suffered a major setback when their star striker Radamel Falcao was ruled out due to injury. Colombia has open against Greece on 14 June, followed by the resilient Cote d'Ivoire / Ivory Coast today on 19 June and their final match against Japan will take place on June 24. The talented Ivory Coast football team made their world cup debut in 2006. Though the Ivorians are yet to make an impact in their previous world cup appearances, the current team has the potential to make a mark. Star striker Didier Drogba will lead the side. The Ivorians had squared off against Japan on 14 June, will play against Colombia today on 19 June and their final group game against Greece will be on 24 June.
