The 23-year-old hurt a tendon in his left elbow during Bangladesh's 77-run defeat in the first Test in Dhaka but passed a fitness test ahead of the match the home team need to win to take a share of the two-Test series.
Captain Mushfiqur Rahim stressed that Iqbal, who has four Test centuries to his name, had an important game ahead of him.
"Iqbal batted with that injury in the second innings and after a two day break he is feeling good," Rahim told reporters yesterday.
"I think we all have an important game," said Rahim. Iqbal was passed fit by team physiotherapist Vibhav Singh.
