Dhaka: India's captain Virat Kohli won the toss and put Afghanistan in to bat in the Asia Cup one-day international in Dhaka on Wednesday.
The first-ever one-dayer between the two teams will have no bearing on the tournament as Pakistan and Sri Lanka have already qualified for Saturday's final.

But it gives minnows Afghanistan a chance to test their skills against the reigning World Cup champions ahead of their maiden appearance in the tournament next year.
