Former Mumbai cricketer Amit Dani won the revived Vijay Merchant Single Wicket Cricket Competition

Former Mumbai cricketer Amit Dani won the revived Vijay Merchant Single Wicket Cricket Competition, beating Anup Revankar in the final at the Hindu Gymkhana Ground yesterday. Batting first, Dani set Revankar a target of 27 runs.

He then bowled well to take Revankar's wicket thrice, thereby reducing his opponent's final score to minus six. While Dani received the prestigious Vijay Merchant winner's trophy and a cheque of Rs one lakh, Revankar pocketed a cash award of Rs 50,000.
