On the day the ceasefire was announced, Trump claimed credit for it in a social media post: “India and Pakistan agreed for a ceasefire after long nights of talks mediated by the US,” he had tweeted.

He was then detained by the Pakistan Rangers. According to early reports, the crossing was unintentional, and he stepped into Pakistani territory by mistake. After being in Pakistani custody for about three weeks, Shaw was finally returned to Indian authorities. His safe return marks a positive outcome, and officials from both sides ensured the process was smooth and respectful.
