Mike Tyson vs Jake Paul: Boxing legend Mike Tyson slaps Jake Paul

In a much anticipated boxing match, Mike Tyson is set to make a comback to the ring after 19 years. Ahead of the showdown, the boxing legend Tyson slapped Paul in the face as they approached each other at Thursday's weigh-in at Arlington. The one-time "Baddest Man on the Planet," Tyson returned to the ring for his first professional fight in 19 years. He is fighting against "ultimate heel" Paul in the wildly anticipated showdown at AT&T Stadium on November 15. There was no love lost between the two as Tyson, approached Paul and immediately slapped the 27-year-old in the face. 58-year-old Mike Tyson offered a two-word televised remark before walking off stage: "Talking's over". Jake Paul was far more loquacious, offering an expletive-riddled rant about his plans to demolish Tyson. The match has drawn global interest and criticism, with British promoter Eddie Hearn dismissing the bout as "dangerous, irresponsible"

Olympics Gender Controversy: Italy PM Meloni calls the match unfair

Amid the ongoing discussions on the Olympics gender controversy, Italian PM Meloni expressed her anger over the issue. Italian PM Georgie Meloni waded in on the debate calling the match unfair. She further stated that ‘athletes who have, male genetic characteristics shouldn’t be allowed to compete in women's competitions’. Angela Carini quit her 66 kg women’s category boxing match against Algeria’s Imane Khelif sparking gender row at the Paris Olympics. The Italian boxer quit the match within 46 seconds into the match handing Imane Khelif a win in the opening round. Notably, Imane Khelif who’s a biological male was banned from competing in world championships following failures in testosterone and gender eligibility tests. The match sparked a gender row drawing adverse reactions from fans all around the world questioning the gender of Khelif. Post Backlash, IOC responded to controversy over Algerian Boxer Khelif stating ‘Every person has right to practise sport’.

Former heavyweight champion Mike Tyson to make a comeback in the boxing ring

Former heavyweight champion Mike Tyson, 57, is preparing for his first professional fight since 2005 against YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul, 27. The heavyweight bout at the Arlington, Texas home of the NFL's Dallas Cowboys, will be contested over eight two-minute rounds with each fighter using 14-ounce gloves. The outcome will be included in both fighters' professional boxing records. Paul, a YouTube influencer-turned-boxer, has won nine of 10 boxing matches with six knockouts against a mix of celebrities and middling fighters. He suffered his sole career boxing loss in February 2023 when he lost a split decision to Tommy Fury, the half-brother of World Boxing Council heavyweight champion Tyson Fury. Mike Tyson and Jake Paul took verbal jabs at each other on May 16) during a press conference to drum up interest for their July boxing match at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas. While Tyson called Paul "a young boy" and vowed to "finish him", Paul said we would "put Tyson to sleep for the last time."
