Pro-Hezbollah March on streets of Pakistan, Violent protest erupts over Nasrallah's killing

The Israel Defense Forces confirmed the killing of Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah in airstrikes in Beirut on September 27. Following this news, supporters of Hezbollah protested in Pakistan, waving flags and shouting slogans. On September 29, protests turned violent in Karachi when demonstrators tried to break into the U.S. consulate. Police intervened to prevent them from reaching the consulate. Protesters threw stones and chanted “Death to America,” while displaying Hezbollah flags and Nasrallah posters. Seven police officers were injured and needed hospital treatment due to the violence. The pro-Iran group Majlis Wahadatul Muslimeen organized a rally that drew around 3,000 people, highlighting strong feelings about the situation.
