Nikita Klaestrup is a beauty with brains. The 24-year-old politician certainly portrays her colourful life on Instagram, but also as a model. 

The internet star hails from Guldborgsund Municipality, Region Zealand in Denmark, and had studied at Vordingborg Gymnasium and HF. Nikita had also studied rhetoric at the University of Copenhagen

While studying at the University of Copenhagen in 2015, Nikita created a storm on the internet wearing a deep-cut reverse halter dress. The pictures went viral on social media and created a furore in both Denmark and elsewhere.

During University of Copenhagen's 110-year anniversary gala in 2015, Nikita appeared in a black, floor-length dress with the textile split open above the navel, leaving a substantial section of bare skin visible between. Her hair is pinned up with a few curls framing her face. The picture went viral on the Internet, and a few days after the event, Danish media came calling

Nikita Klaestrup's deep-cut reverse halter dress broke the Internet. Her attire created a stir in both Danish and foreign media. Later that year, the fashionista did a photo shoot for a men's magazine, in which she appeared scantily dressed

Danish media goes frenzy over Nikita Klaestrup's pictures which she shares on Instagram. She had also bagged the most Googled Danish politician award and the most Googled Danish woman in 2015. The title was awarded to her according to a survey conducted by Google Denmark in 2015.

Nikita Klaestrup is not just a pretty face, she is also a member of the Liberal Alliance, one of the right-libertarian political party in Denmark. The model was a member of Young Conservatives until after the 2015 general election. The combination of her political work and her physical appearance has secured her a lot of media publicity.

Nikita Klaestrup often appears on media for she is both pretty and politically active. During the Municipal Election in 2013, Nikita had won the competition for the year's election babe, which was organised by a popular Danish newspaper.

Apart from the award, Nikita also contested the 2013 Municipal election. During the election Nikita managed to gather 128 personal votes, unfortunately, the many beauty-votes did not translate to personal votes in the ballot boxes. However, after the general election in 2015, she joined the Liberal Alliance.

She had done several photoshoots for magazines where she appeared topless.

After having a short stint in Modeling, Nikita Klaestrup has ventured into politics, and even then, the fitness streak in her has not left her yet. She manages her time to hit the gym daily from her busy schedule.

She had also appeared on a Danish TV program called Aftenshowet, where the revealing dress was displayed on a mannequin in the background.

Although Nikita is on constant media glare, many don't know about her political stance. She regularly participates in the political debate by writing letters-to-the-editor and comments.

Due to the attention she receives from media, many on Facebook argued that the dress makes the politician appear frivolous and downright stupid. On the other hand, the constant media glare sharpens her profile. However, not everyone thinks the same way.

Political branding expert Kresten Schultz-Jorgensen said to a Danish newspaper that if she wants to stand for a modern, open-minded conservativism, it is not a bad idea to wear a daring dress

Nikita strongly believes that she can appropriately use herself as an example of political rhetoric. She claims that no one can refute the fact that female politicians may well be vain and good-looking nevertheless they are intelligent

‘We cannot escape the fact that it sells. There is a natural focus on women’s appearance. That’s just how it is’, says Nikita.

Nikita strongly supports the LGBTQ community and had raised voices whenever it was necessary. She wrote a letter to the editor after Copenhagen Pride (the Copenhagen Municipality's annual gay pride parade), dissenting the event as promoting discrimination of homosexuality. 

In the letter, Nikita had stressed that the parade contributed to the stigmatization of homosexuals who do not want to be associated with this "circus parade". Nikita with her stance on controversial issues proves that she is a born leader and more than a pretty face.

Nikita Klaestrup had, time and again, showed that she speaks her mind and doesn't mince her words. In 2014, Nikita gave a speech at Berlinske, where she criticized the Freetown Christiana, calling them a "harmful parallel society" and "a disgrace to Copenhagen". 

Nikita Klaestrup said that she believes the Freetown should be normalised and converted into an ordinary residential area. However, her comments didn't receive well with the people.

Nikita's comments led to violent reactions, including several personal threats. An 18-year-old woman was subsequently sentenced to a suspended prison sentence for making death threats against Klaestrup.

Nikita Klaestrup is not only a fashionista, but she also loves dogs and regularly shares adorable pictures with dogs.
