Perhaps we can all agree that some things are best kept under wraps, especially one's underwear. The City Museum in St. Louis, Missouri, disagrees. They got the town's residents to wear underwear on their head for a minute, setting a Guinness World Record. What might seem like a normal day for the museum commonly known for its "quirky, artist-built playground", was actually an effort to commemorate the date March 14, which is a nod to the town's pin code, 314.
Katy Enrique, director of sales and marketing at the museum told the media that the idea originated from one of the museum's most notable pieces - the World's Largest Pair of Underwear with a 16-foot waistband, which hangs in their Beatnik Bob's Café. "The giant underwear is an icon that guests try to find on their journey, and they take tons of photos with the underwear," she said. The giant underwear was created in 1996 by St. Louis-based artists Pat Eby and Ann Paidrick. However, it must be noted that these underpants are not the largest in the world. That accolade goes to Cottonil in Egypt with an 82-foot waistband.

But this museum has its fair share of Guinness World Records, and even hosted a travelling exhibit called the "Science of Guinness World Records" earlier this year. And they just set their fifth one. Enrique added, "With a motto of encouraging people to explore, crawl, slide, climb on, swing on and simply get lost in the museum, this Guinness World Record attempt was right up their alley." Since its inception in 1997, the City Museum has been a place for adventure-seekers with unique and exciting indoor, outdoor and underground playgrounds.

In a morbid incident in Algeria, a man was discovered in his neighbour's cellar after disappearing for 24 years. Omar bin Omran, then only 17 years old, vanished from his home in Djelfa in 1998. Many suspected that he was among the people killed or kidnapped during the then ongoing civil war. Authorities abandoned their search, but his mother remained hopeful. Unfortunately after her demise in 2013, the case went cold. It was only earlier this week, the brother of one of Omar's neighbours took to social media to suggest that his sibling was involved in the teen's kidnapping, in an attempt to get him arrested over an inheritance feud. The Algerian public prosecutor's office authorised a search when the family contacted the police, and Omran, now in his 40s, was found in the suspect's small cell.

Imagine having an empty box with a neat packaging as your next McDonlads order. A Doordash customer named Greg, received just that, after he ordered a McDonlads Triple Cheese burger with "everything removed". The trusted joint sent him an empty box of McCrispy instead of McTripple Cheese, to which he wrote, "Somehow they still managed to screw up my order." The man took to X to lement the loss of his happy meal.

Someone planted cannabis plants at Wisconsin state Capitol grounds, but their hopes of getting high were quashed, along with the plants when the Department of Administration took the plants out. University of Wisconsin-Madison botanist Shelby Ellison told the media that given the large number of plants in the tulip garden, their sprouting was definitely not accidental.
