UK makes free home antibody tests available

The UK Health Security Agency will offer these finger-prick tests to help improve the understanding of immunity against Covid-19 from vaccination and infection

The United Kingdom (UK) government on Sunday announced the rollout of a new nationwide antibody surveillance programme, which will make free home antibody tests available for up to 8,000 Covid-positive people a day.

The UK Health Security Agency will offer these finger-prick tests to help improve the understanding of immunity against Covid-19 from vaccination and infection.

"Our new national antibody testing will be quick and easy to take part in, and by doing so you'll be helping strengthen our understanding of Covid-19 as we cautiously return to a more normal life," said UK Health Secretary Sajid Javid.

Morrison urges to stick to path out of pandemic

Australian Prime Minister Scott Morrison on Sunday urged state and territory governments to stick with the pathway out of the Coronavirus pandemic amid record case numbers. The country reported a record 914 new locally-acquired cases a second day in a row with a new record number, reports Xinhua news agency.

Indonesia reduces Covid test price

Indonesian President Joko Widodo has ordered to cut the prices of the RT-PCR tests for Covid-19 to a range between 450,000 rupiahs ($31) and 550,000 rupiahs from the previous maximum of 900,000 rupiahs set by the Health Ministry. The move means that the prices will be cut between 38.9 per cent and 50 per cent over the previous ones.
