While visiting the areas of Australia affected by last month's Cyclone Yasi, the 28-year-old tossed the idea around with reporters. "It's much nicer down here; the weather at home is dreadful," William said. "I will have to come back. Maybe we'll have a honeymoon in Cairns?"
After all, William added, "I love scuba diving. I have always wanted to dive the Great Barrier Reef."
William spent the afternoon greeting locals after attending a function to thank the 600 volunteers who contributed to the Cyclone Yasi relief efforts; he even invited them to attend the royal wedding.
"I expect to see you all there," he told them. "I want to see lots of Aussie flags outside the Abbey."
If he and Middleton should decide to honeymoon elsewhere, William vowed to return with the princess in several weeks time. William's three-day tour of Australia continues with a trip to south-east Queensland, where he will visit towns affected by flash floods that killed more than 20 people in January.
