A UK man who allegedly raped a minor girl was acquitted on the grounds that he had been suffering from 'sexsomnia' during the incident
Stephen Davies, 43, said that he had sex with the 16-year-old girl while asleep and had no recollection of it, reports the Daily Mail.
He also said that he hardly could stir up his memory to recall his act of having sex with the college student despite speaking to her at the time, and then leaving his bedroom to make a hot drink.
He told the Swansea Crown Court that he even sent a text message to the girl the next day to know whether they had been intimate, but he got an abusive reply that read - 'Go to hell, you dirty b''''''.'
The girl was staying at Davies' home in Pembroke Dock, Wales, when she became ill during the night and went to sleep in his bedroom because it was cooler.
