Michael Jackson's body and brain have finally been reunited. An LA County coroner's investigator confirmed on Thursday that his office had returned the entirety of Jackson's remains to his family.

Investigators had temporarily removed Jackson's brain last month for additional testing after surrendering the rest of his body.

"They have it [all]," said Assistant Chief Ed Winter, referring to Jacko's body-and-mind reunion. Winter declined to discuss details of the brain transfer, or if pathologists replanted the organ inside Jackson's head.

Following the transfer, morticians prepped his corpse on Thursday night so that he could be laid to rest in an unmarked grave, sources said.

MJ's family has chosen to bury him in an anonymous plot, fearing ghouls could make a mockery of his grave.

The burial is not expected to include any fanfare, and will have only one or two family members present as witnesses.

The coroner hasn't formally ruled on the cause of Jackson's death, but sources maintain that he likely died of a massive drug overdose on June 25.

His legacy

Meanwhile, it has emerged that Jackson's sister LaToya has taken possession of computer hard drives that contain a trove of unreleased songs he recorded with A-list singers such as, Akon and will.i.am.
