Harry honoured for work with wounded troops

He's been called Harry the Playboy but now they'll have to start calling him Harry the Humanitarian


Prince Harry receivedu00a0the Atlantic Council's 2012 Award for Distinguished Humanitarian Leadership in Washington.

Harry accepted the award on behalf of himself and his brother William. Both are officers in the British military. They were honoured for their efforts to help rehabilitate wounded veterans and smooth their transition back to civilian life.

"This isn't daunting at all," he joked. "For a captain in the British army to be introduced by a world-renowned statesman is humbling and entirely terrifying."

He accepted the award, he said, on behalf of the "guys," the veterans of both countries, especially the wounded. He urged Americans and British to work together to help the wounded go back to civilian life with "purpose, hope and confidence".u00a0

Prince Harry wants to become a reggae DJ and eventually show off his skills, say his friends. "Harry has always been interested in music, but Jamaica was a real eye opener. He started looking into reggae as soon as he got back to the UK," said a source.u00a0
